Buster, the old man

Fly high boy.

Fly high boy.

My favourite hello, my hardest goodbye.

My favourite hello, my hardest goodbye.

Buster came to us on a frigid, late December morning and as soon as he licked my face I knew that one day I would have my heart utterly shattered by this little sweetheart. He was the first dog that I’d bought on my own, he was MY dog and I was quite obsessed with my fur baby.

He was the oddest dog I’ve ever had; wall-eyed and unusually large for his breed, his personality was so different from other dogs I’d had; he would talk to himself on the couch as he would roll around, he would suck a blanket before going to sleep and he was afraid of feathers.

I knew from day 1 that Buster would be the first dog for which I would have to be the one to stay in the room in his last moments to stroke his ears and tell him how much I loved him and what a good boy he was. On July 19th, 2020, Lymphoma took my baby away at the age of 11. I made a point to get photos of us taken on a few occasions and I’m so glad that I did. We don’t like to think about it, but sadly, they can just never stay as long as we wish they would. So I’m here to tell you 3 things;

1) They’re never JUST a pet.

2) They’re just as much family as the 2 legged family members

3) It is more than fine to have photos taken of your dog and you’re not crazy for wanting to!

You will never regret having these photos. And one day you will thank the heavens that you got them because it will be all you have left. Let me help you capture your fur babies and create images of them that you will cherish forever.
